Recently, the perpetrator behind Orbit Chain, a diverse blockchain platform, has transferred stolen funds to Tornado Cash. According to Arkham, an AI-driven company specializing in blockchain analysis, the perpetrator has moved a significant amount of up to $32 million to the decentralized crypto mixer. The details of this transaction were shared on the social media platform X by the analytics platform.

Orbit Chain Perpetrator Moves 8671 $ETH to Tornado Cash
Arkham highlighted that the perpetrator had stolen a substantial amount of nearly $100 million from Orbit Chain. Following the theft, the perpetrator remained inactive for a period of five months, possibly to evade detection. Despite the silence, the perpetrator recently transferred $32 million to the crypto mixing platform, Tornado Cash.
The analytics provider revealed that the perpetrator is currently in the process of depositing the stolen assets into Tornado Cash. It was disclosed that the stolen assets included more than $100 million in ETH and DAI. Five months ago, when the theft occurred, the assets comprised of WBTC, USDC, DAI, USDT, and ETH.
The Hacker Still Holds More than $88M in USDT, DAI, and ETH
The breach was attributed to security vulnerabilities related to private keys. The perpetrator has now moved 8671 ETH coins to the crypto mixing platform. Currently, the perpetrator still has over $66 million in ETH, as well as more than $20 million in USDT and DAI.
