In addition to this milestone, the company has also released a blog post detailing the development. The initiative involves MyAnimeList, San FranTokyo, Animoca Brands Japan, and Animoca Brands. The platform promises exclusive experiences and opportunities for fans and creators alike.
Furthermore, the collaboration is expected to bring about breakthroughs for IP holders, studios, and manga and anime-inspired brands and projects on a global scale. This strategic partnership follows the JPY¥300M investment by Animoca Brands Japan into MyAnimeList, the largest manga and anime community database worldwide boasting 16M registered members.
Moreover, Anime Foundation plans to establish a strategic partnership with Mocaverse, a leading growth platform. This partnership includes an infrastructure layer encompassing PointFi, Reputation, Identity, and Account systems with interoperability supported by Animoca Brands. The joint effort will leverage Metaverse’s newly introduced Realm Network SDK for the launch of Anime ID.
The primary goal of this initiative is to create a connection between the traditional anime market and Web3 communities. Anime ID serves as a decentralized identifier and reputation layer, facilitating the onboarding of the Web3 ecosystem. Animoca Brands aims to enhance fan experiences and foster the global manga and anime culture by integrating Anime ID into Anime Foundation’s operations, offering innovative monetization models.
