Aura Network, a leading L1 platform offering open infrastructure through modular technology stacks, has revealed an exciting new project. The company is introducing Aura EVM, aimed at expanding opportunities for developers in the Web3 sector and enhancing its overall adoption. In a recent announcement on its official X account, Aura Network shared detailed insights into the project.
Titled “Introducing Aura EVM: Expanding Possibilities for Web3 Developers,” the post emphasized the company’s strong focus on non-fungible tokens and broad adoption solutions. Aura Network has been at the forefront of the permissioned CosmWasm app chain space, pioneering local account abstraction and establishing a robust infrastructure. Building on these foundations, Aura Network is now unveiling the next phase of its development, with a focus on accelerating Web3 progress through the adoption of the Ethermiint Virtual Machine.
The EVM is recognized as a key smart contract tool globally, and its integration marks a significant milestone for Aura Network. This upgrade signifies a major shift for the platform, transitioning it into an interoperable and permissionless general-purpose layer. As a result, Aura Network now supports both EVM and CosmWasm smart contracts, opening up new possibilities for developers.
One notable feature highlighted by the company is the introduction of an exclusive system message type for encapsulating EVM messages, ensuring compatibility with Cosmos-based messages. This compatibility enables seamless integration of decentralized applications (DApps) with Aura, connecting them with popular crypto platforms such as Arbitrum, BNB Chain, and Ethereum.
The enhanced interoperability of the project offers developers a wider deployment environment, empowering them to choose the most suitable setting for their projects. While there are several EVM-compatible chains available, Aura’s advanced modular architecture provides additional benefits for developers, offering greater flexibility to optimize and differentiate their projects within the Aura ecosystem.
