Automata Network, a renowned platform providing private web services to Web3-based dApps, has recently revealed a groundbreaking development. The company has teamed up with Puffer Finance, a tool that simplifies the liquid restaking process, to collaborate on Secure-Signer. Automata Network took to social media to announce this exciting partnership.

Automata and Puffer Join Forces for a Joint Venture on SGX-Based Secure-Signer
In addition to the social media announcement, the company also posted a blog post on their website highlighting their involvement in the development of Secure-Signer. Puffer is reportedly providing grant support for the project. Automata described Puffer as a remote signing anti-slashing tool that utilizes Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs).
Furthermore, Puffer is a recipient of an Ethereum Foundation Grant. Automata mentioned that Secure-Signer currently operates within a secure enclave Intel SGX, utilizing Remote Attestation Verification smart contracts to verify SGX attestations on the chain remotely. Intel is planning to phase out Enhanced Privacy ID next year and shift towards Data Center Attestation Primitives for attestation workflows.
Automata has open-sourced a verifier on Solidity for DCAP attestations, as Solidity is a robust programming language used to develop dApps for major developer ecosystems. Validators play a crucial role in protocol coordination and consensus, focusing on signing non-slashable messages and maximizing uptime to avoid penalties for network rule violations. Validators can operate multiple nodes with a single key to prevent downtime penalties.
Automata assured ongoing collaboration with the Puffer team to enhance the development and functionality of Secure-Signer. Additionally, Puffer has secured over 18,000 $ETH tokens restaked on Automata’s Multi-Prover AVS. Automata’s AVS is one of the earliest projects integrated into the liquid restaking platform, showcasing their commitment to innovation in the blockchain space.
