Hedera and the Blockchain Foundation have joined forces to launch an Education Learning Briefing Series aimed at enhancing understanding and promoting responsible innovation in the Web3 space. This initiative will unfold in various U.S. cities, including Washington, DC; Boston, MA; Columbus, OH; and Anaheim, CA. The series will emphasize the interconnectedness between the emerging Web3 ecosystem and traditional financial systems, highlighting the collaborative efforts required to ensure a secure and prosperous digital future.
Aligned with the goals of the bipartisan Financial Literacy & Wealth Creation Caucus, this educational endeavor involves key public institutions and aims to showcase that the development of the Web3 ecosystem is a collaborative effort involving both new entities and established institutions working towards financial security and risk mitigation.
The briefings will serve as a platform to educate and empower participants in the Web3 market, demonstrating the potential of these technologies to promote financial literacy and wealth creation among the wider public.
The kickoff event for the series will feature members of the Congressional Financial Literacy & Wealth Creation Caucus, along with leaders from the Aspen Institute, Consumer Reports, and the Alliance for Innovative Regulation. Nilmini Rubin, Chief Policy Officer at Hedera, emphasized the importance of education in the Web3 sector, aiming to create a more informed and resilient ecosystem by engaging with both institutional stakeholders and the community.
The series will commence with a luncheon briefing in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, April 30th, 2024, coinciding with Financial Literacy Month and Small Business Week. Cleve Mesidor, Executive Director of the Blockchain Foundation, expressed excitement about bringing these vital discussions to local communities, emphasizing the significance of grassroots involvement in shaping the future of Web3.
