Daniil Romazanov, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the blockchain data technology company PARSIQ, boasts over a decade of experience in constructing intricate IT systems for various enterprises and startups. His expertise includes managing, leading, and actively participating in development and architectural decisions. Initially joining PARSIQ as a Product Owner more than three years ago, he smoothly transitioned into the CTO position a year later.
Romazanov’s career path leading to his current role at PARSIQ has been a winding one. After graduating from high school, he embarked on a journey as a Junior Developer at a software development company. From there, he delved into numerous projects, taking on diverse roles such as hands-on development, team management, and development leadership in industries ranging from consumer electronics to gaming and beyond. Just before joining PARSIQ, he felt settled in his position and had no plans to make a change anytime soon.
The decision to get involved in blockchain technology was influenced by a combination of factors. A former colleague, Alan D, who was the CTO of PARSIQ at the time, invited Romazanov to join the team. Additionally, his thirst for knowledge and eagerness to explore new concepts and paradigms played a significant role in his decision. The opportunity to immerse himself in blockchain technology, which had eluded him for a while, was a compelling catalyst for his involvement.
In Romazanov’s view, blockchain technology has transformative potential in both public and private infrastructure. Public infrastructure, exemplified by platforms like Bitcoin and Ethereum, offers a sense of digital and financial freedom by bypassing traditional intermediaries like banks or government entities. On the other hand, private and semi-private infrastructure can enhance transparency and efficiency across various industries, including medicine, supply chains, governance, logistics, and education, through features like immutability.
Aligning his vision for blockchain with Reactive Network’s mission, Romazanov emphasizes the importance of addressing user experience and developer challenges in the blockchain space. Reactive Network focuses on enhancing development experience, making dApps smarter and more efficient, and bridging the gap between different blockchain ecosystems to create a seamless user experience.
Looking ahead to the future of blockchain technology in the next 5 to 10 years, Romazanov sees a critical need to address technical, environmental, and economic challenges for widespread adoption. He highlights the importance of innovations like Zero Knowledge Proofs in streamlining transaction processing and emphasizes the need for sustainable solutions to ensure blockchain’s longevity.
As a CTO, Romazanov values the opportunities for continuous learning, innovation, and growth that his role affords. He emphasizes the importance of fostering a positive and productive team culture by prioritizing listening, empowering team members to voice their ideas freely, and creating a sense of belonging and purpose within the team.
For aspiring tech leaders in the blockchain space, Romazanov’s advice is simple: listen more, leverage the strengths of your team members, and prioritize both their satisfaction and the company’s value creation. By focusing on people and their contributions, innovation in the blockchain space can thrive.
