In a recent development, the perpetrator behind Orbit Chain, a diverse blockchain platform, has transferred the stolen funds to Tornado Cash. According to Arkham, an AI-based blockchain analysis firm, the criminal has sent a significant amount of $32 million to the non-custodial, decentralized crypto mixer. This information was shared on the social media platform X by the analytics company.

Orbit Chain Perpetrator Transfers 8671 $ETH to Tornado Cash
Arkham revealed that the criminal had stolen close to $100 million from Orbit Chain. Following this incident, the perpetrator maintained silence to avoid detection, staying inactive for a prolonged period of five months. However, the criminal recently made a sudden move by transferring $32 million to Tornado Cash.
The analytics firm stated that the perpetrator is currently in the process of depositing the assets into Tornado Cash. It was disclosed that the assets stolen by the criminal included more than $100 million in $DAI and $ETH. Five months ago, when the theft occurred, the stolen assets comprised of $WBTC, $USDC, $DAI, $USDT, and ETH.
The Hacker Still Holds Over $88M in $USDT, $DAI, and $ETH
The breach was attributed to security vulnerabilities related to private keys. Presently, the criminal has transferred 8671 $ETH coins to the crypto mixer. As of now, the perpetrator still retains more than $66 million in $ETH, along with over $20 million in $USDT and $DAI.
